Some Hoosiers 24-Hour News 8 talked to asked if the gift certificates could be used towards abortions. The answer is yes. But, Planned Parenthood said that's not the purpose of the gift certificates.Read the article here.
Struben-Hall said, "They really are intended for preventative healthcare. We decided not to put restrictions on the gift certificates so it's for whatever people feel they need the services for most."
BTW, if Obama gets his way with FOCA, the gov't will be giving these out left and right.

It is time to tighten our belts and begin the work of reclamation. We are returning to the days of Rome when infants were exposed and Christians had to come and rescue them into their homes.
Where are the Christians in our culture today? Certainly not in the mainstream of those claiming the name.
I saw something on the Bayly blog about how, when protesting at the local clinic, some of their church members told women that they would take care of expenses and/or adopt the child if necessary. At least one woman took them up on it. I'll see if I can find that.

@ Joshua: Yes, definitely so. It will be a contest b/t the Christians & the Muslims since the secular pagans are not reproducing and/ or are killing off their offspring. And Christians need to recover the mindset of family, and of multi-generational faithfulness.

There is a book I recommend called, "Architects of the Culture of Death" by DeMarco and Wilker. It basically provides biographies of the people whose influence and philosophies have led to our culture of death. Margaret Sanger, the founder of 'planned' parenthood, is featured in a chapter. She was a heavy proponent of eugenics and sought to make it so that the poor 'dumb' people didn't have children. The original mission of planned parenthood was birth control...now its obviously abortion.
Not to go off on a tangent, but I think its necessary to realize that contraception is intimately tied to abortion and not shy away from this. Reading the aforementioned book, this becomes pretty clear.
Allow me to quote Sir Calvin, "The voluntary spilling of semen outside of intercourse between man and woman is a monstrous thing. Deliberately to withdraw from coitus in order that semen may fall on the ground is doubly monstrous. For this is to extinguish the hope of the race and to kill before he is born the hoped-for offspring."
I think Calvin is right. For us to get serious about taking life we have to be consistent about protecting the sanctity of life across the board.

I think you are on to something here. All of this can be traced to our (speaking of Americans generally) belief that children are not a blessing from the Lord.
I've heard of the book that you referenced, but haven't actually read it yet. I'll put it on my amazon wishlist.
